I visited YAKINIKU TORAJI 焼肉トラジ 池袋東口店 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and it ended up being a bit of a mixed experience. The meat itself was okay, but overall it felt quite mediocre and not particularly memorable. The menu also lacked variety, which made the meal feel limited rather than satisfying.
What stood out more was the direction of the food. The restaurant is run by Japanese staff serving Korean-style yakiniku, but it felt like it sat somewhere in between. It did not fully reflect what we are used to as proper Korean yakiniku, so the experience did not feel especially authentic or distinct.
On the other hand, the atmosphere was excellent. We got an individual, spacious private room, which made the dining experience feel relaxed and comfortable. This was easily the highlight of the visit.
The staff were nice and polite. Everything was handled well throughout the meal.
The pricing leaned a bit high for what you get, given the overall quality of the food.
