Fun bites instead of a full meal
We stopped by Outback Steakhouse Ikebukuro アウトバックステーキハウス 池袋店 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo just for a quick snack rather than a full meal. Because of that, we skipped the steak and ordered a few smaller dishes and cocktails instead.
The nachos were a pleasant surprise. They were good and definitely better than the soggy nachos we had at SMOKEHOUSE before.
The blooming onion was fun to eat too. By that point I was starting to feel a bit tired of deep-fried food because we had already eaten quite a lot of it recently, but the dish itself was still enjoyable. The presentation was playful and dipping the crispy onion pieces into the dipping sauce made it feel interactive and fun.
The cocktails were also enjoyable. My partner chose them for me and they were playful and easy to drink.
A space that feels like a treat
What I loved most about this place was the atmosphere. The space is large and comfortable, with thick carpets, warm colors, and a colorful, cozy interior that makes the restaurant feel lively but still relaxing.
It is the kind of place where simply sitting inside makes you feel like you are treating yourself a little.
Definitely coming back for the steak
Since we only came for snacks this time, we did not try the steak, which is what the restaurant is really known for. Because the atmosphere was so nice, I would definitely like to come back next time and have a proper meal there.
The restaurant has an English menu, and reservations are not required. Our total came to 8288 yen.
