A Hidden Gem for Good Coffee
👍
Time of visit: September 2025
Atmosphere
I visited Egota Coffee Roaster 江古田珈琲焙煎所 in Nakano-ku (Egota), Tokyo, and really liked the vibe. The shop has a dark but warm theme with lots of wood. It felt quiet and comfortable. The overall mood was calm and easy to settle into.

The air conditioning was weak when we visited. The table was also small. These were minor downsides, but they are worth noting. Even so, the atmosphere was still very pleasant.
The roasting machine was part of the decor. I’m not sure if they actually use that specific one, but it looked nice in the space and added character.

Coffee and Food
We ordered coffee and a baked doughnut. The total was about 1,200 yen. The doughnut was light, which I liked. It wasn’t heavy or greasy.

The coffee was very enjoyable. We liked it so much that we decided to buy beans to take home. We purchased 600g for 3,840 yen. That felt reasonable for the quality.

Service and Overall Value
The master was humble and quiet. Service was simple and good. There is no English menu, which may be inconvenient for foreign visitors.

Reservations are not required. Prices felt fair. Considering the quality of the coffee and the reasonable cost of the beans, the overall value was excellent.
