Coffee and sweets that missed the mark
We visited Bees Coffee ビーズコーヒー because my partner had been there years ago and had good memories of the place. He suggested we go together. Unfortunately, the visit ended up disappointing us.
We started with coffee. The coffee was nothing special. For a café, that was already a letdown.
We also tried some sweets, including a cheesecake-style dessert. That wasn’t good either. The sweets simply didn’t stand out in a positive way.
Overall, the food and drinks were disappointing. The coffee was ordinary, and the sweets were not good. Because of that, the visit did not start on a strong note.
A cluttered atmosphere and uncomfortable seating
The atmosphere at Bees Coffee also didn’t work for us.
The space felt cluttered and somewhat messy. There were sacks of coffee beans lying around the café. Instead of feeling cozy, the place felt more like a warehouse for coffee beans.
The seating made things worse. The stools were very small and uncomfortable. Because of that, it was difficult to sit and relax.
I never felt comfortable there. The space did not feel warm or welcoming, and it wasn’t a place where I wanted to stay for long.
Minimal service and disappointing value
Service at Bees Coffee was minimal. The staff were not very attentive and did not engage much with us.
There was no English menu available. Reservations were not required.
The price was not high, but the visit did not feel like good value. The coffee was nothing special, the sweets were not good, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable.
My partner had positive memories of this café from years ago. This time, however, the experience was disappointing. We won’t go back.
