High quality chicken in every form

A neon-lit chicken bar with a different approach
Tosaka Shinjuku とさか 新宿本店 in Shinjuku, Tokyo, focuses entirely on chicken, offering it in a wide range of styles such as chicken sashimi, grilled chicken, deep fried chicken, and chicken nabe. The quality is high, with most of the chicken being jidori (premium Japanese chicken), which gives the dishes a clean and rich flavor.

One interesting detail is that their grilled chicken is served without skewers, which is rare. It makes the dishes easier to share and more comfortable to eat while drinking.

We ordered different parts of chicken, including bonjiri (tail), seseri (neck), and gizzard.

We also tried an assortment of breast and thigh of two different brands of chicken, which highlighted the differences in texture and flavor well.

The deep fried half chicken was satisfying, and the baked camembert cheese added a nice contrast to the meal.

A bar-like setting with a relaxed feel
The interior feels more like a bar, with neon lighting and a darker atmosphere. It has a casual and slightly edgy vibe while still keeping the focus on the food.

Service was smooth and efficient throughout the visit. Reservations are not required. There is no English menu. Credit cards are accepted.

The overall price (14,890 yen) felt reasonable for the quality and quantity, making it a place that offers good value.
