A Casual Pizza Hangout Done Right
👍
Time of visit: June 2025
PIZZA SLICE in Shibuya, Tokyo, isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel—it’s just serving up solid pizza in a space that feels effortlessly cool. With its open layout, candlelit wooden tables, and a laid-back vibe, it’s the kind of place where you can take a deep breath, grab a cold drink, and forget about whatever chaos is happening outside.

We went all in and ordered a Cheese slice, Mushroom slice, Italian Sausage slice, Homemade Meatball slice, and Garlic Knots—plus a beer and a Shandy Gaff. The pizza crust was a standout: thin, super crunchy on the bottom, and soft in the middle. The tomato sauce leaned slightly sweet, the cheese was satisfyingly stringy, and every bite felt like the best parts of a New York slice.

Our top picks? The Cheese slice and the Mushroom slice. Simple, but so well done. The Garlic Knots, on the other hand, were a bit too doughy and heavy for our taste.
Nice touches: each table had salt, pepper, oregano, and Tabasco.

The menu is in English, and the staff speak English too, which made ordering a breeze for my partner.

With generous slices around 600 yen and a vibe that makes you want to stay for “just one more,” the pizzeria is the kind of low-key gem you’ll find yourself craving again. We’ll be back soon—hopefully when the pepperoni and clam chowder are on deck.

PIZZA SLICE – Review

Summary
PIZZA SLICE offers thin, crunchy, flavor-packed pizza in a relaxed, candlelit space with a cool, open vibe. The Cheese and Mushroom slices were standouts, while the garlic knots were a bit too heavy. With friendly staff, English menus, and great value at around 600 yen a slice, it’s a spot worth coming back to.
