Soft Glow, Strong Sip

Atmosphere & Vibe
Fuglen Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo, marries bar and coffee shop under one moody roof. Dark, soft lighting and flickering candles create an intimate, speakeasy feel, while a striking tower of bottles adds instant character.

At around 11 PM, the shop and its sidewalk tables were packed—proof that this Shibuya hideaway is beloved in the neighborhood.

Drinks That Impress
- Summer Iced Tea (¥730): This one blew my mind. A bright fusion of Earl Grey tea and tangy citrus syrup. One sip delivers a perfect balance of floral notes and refreshing zest.
- Cinnamon Frappe (¥730): My partner’s favorite! Bold cinnamon spice meets creamy coffee richness. Its unique kick was so good he had to get another one.
- Buckwheat Honey Lemonade, Sparkling (¥760): Loved it. Dry and effervescent, with a punch of lemon and a whisper of honeyed sweetness—ideal for summer cool-downs.

Sweets
- Earl Grey Financier (¥300): It was okay. Nothing special, but it was nice to have something to bite alongside drinks.
- Brown Cheese Cookie (¥450): Sadly quite dry and stale; I’d hoped for a gooey treat but found only room for improvement.

Value & Verdict
Prices feel fair for Tokyo, though larger pours would be welcome. Fuglen Tokyo excels at atmosphere and inventive beverages, making it a nice visit for late-night meetups or an elevated coffee break. The sweets need a refresh, but I’ll probably be back—especially for that Summer Iced Tea.
